Whether the user is far away from the device or right next to it, it is easy to start the TNAS at any time, anywhere with the Wake-on-LAN (WOL) feature. WOL helps protect the device and prolongs the service life of hard drives by allowing shutdown without inconvenience. Whenever the files in the TNAS are required, any instruction sent to it will wake it up, even if it is switched off. TNAS mobile applications supporting WOL are already in production.

To facilitate the preferred allocation of resources by users, TOS offers a Quota for shared folders. Where Quota is enabled, the available capacity of shared folders is limited, and such folders will not be copied, uploaded or backed up beyond their resource quota.
